A GROUP of 23 village schoolchildren raised more than £300 in a sponsored six-hour challenge to raise cash for Children in Need.
The pupils at Grayrigg CE Primary School organised the fundraising day which featured a sponsored bouncy castle challenge and a visit from Pudsey Bear, courtesy of official sponsor Lloyds Banking Group.
Students came to school clad in pyjamas, opted for crazy hairstyles and donned stick-on moustaches.
"The day went really well," said head teacher Kirsty Cooper. "They kept the bounce going with at least two people on all day.
"I'm really proud of them because they organised it all and chose to have it on a Thursday so the local toddler group could join in."
