A SIX-YEAR-OLD girl is in a specialist hospital today after being injured at the firework display at Kendal Castle last night.
A witness said firework debris landed on the youngster at around 8pm and set her jacket on fire.
Police took her to Westmorland General Hospital but she was later transferred to Manchester Children's Hospital with severe burns to her arm and hands.
