A PLAQUE to commemorate Jeremy Clarkson’s sacking from the BBC has been put up at the Hawes hotel where he allegedly punched a Top Gear producer.
Simonstone Hall has been presented with a metal plaque immortalising the infamous ‘fracas’ which took place at the North Yorkshire venue.
The tongue-in-cheek eulogy reads: “Here lies the BBC career of Jeremy Clarkson. Who had a fracas on this spot 4th March 2015. The rest is legend.”
We were presented with this plaque from one of our guests last night! We think it would be quite appropriate to put it on the patio where the fracas took place!!

The former Top Gear host was sacked by the BBC for punching producer Oisin Tymon in a row over a steak dinner at the Hawes hotel in March.
The country house hotel wrote: “We were presented with this plaque from one of our guests last night!
“We think it would be quite appropriate to put it on the patio where the fracas took place!!”
The donor is believed to be an anonymous visitor.
