Firefighters called to chimney fire at farm
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a report of a chimney fire at a farm in Coniston yesterday.
On arrival ar around 11.20am, the crews found lintel above the wood burner smouldering and used a hearth kit and handheld extinguishers to put out the fire.
They also removed insulation from the flue and extinguished a fire at the back.
