A TRIBUTE night celebrating one of the biggest musical icons of the 21st century is to be held in Barrow next month.

The Nines venue will play host to a concert remembering the music of Amy Winehouse.

All the hits from the tragic star’s two studio albums, Frank and Back to Black, as well as posthumous compilation album Lioness: Hidden Treasures, will be performed live on stage by Furness singer Becki Fishwick and her eight-piece band.

Becki, who works as an event and wedding singer as well as teaching singing lessons at The South Lakes Rock School, describes Amy Winehouse as one of her musical inspirations.

Proceeds from the program sales will go to The Amy Winehouse Foundation, set up two months after her death, which aims to prevent drug and alcohol misuse in young people.

Tickets for the show on February 6 are available now from the venue, from Jusbakes on Walney, and online at www.skiddle.com.
