THE owners of an award-winning holiday park business presented the proceeds of a charity event to two Coronation Street stars at The Caravan & Motorhome Show in Manchester on Saturday.
Jennie McAlpine and Debbie Rush, who play Fizz and Anna, joined the team from Pure Leisure Group at the Event City show, where they were awarded cheques totalling £30,000.
The money – raised at a glamorous ball held in the grounds of Pure Leisure Group owner John Morphet’s home near Milnthorpe last July – will be split between Moodswings, which was set up by Jennie’s father, Tom, and Key 103 charity Cash for Kids, which works with sick, under-privileged and disadvantaged children.
