A COURT has heard how an angry Kendal man chased down and attacked a male he suspected of spying on his partner.
Ben Simmonite, 35, raced around 100 yards before punching Andrew Northey in the face in the town on 25th September.
Mr Northey was knocked to the ground.

At Carlisle Crown Court on Friday, Simmonite was sentenced having admitted two separate criminal offences.
He pleaded guilty to causing Mr Northey grievous bodily harm, and also possessing £1,300 cannabis with intent to supply on 10th September.
Simmonite was said to have more than a dozen previous convictions on his record.
However, he was spared an immediate prison sentence after Judge Barbara Forrester heard he had been out of trouble for more than a decade.
A 27-week jail term was imposed for the two crimes but suspended for a year. He was also given a year's supervision.
A restraining order was also imposed which prevents Simmonite, of Broad Ing Crescent, Kendal, contacting Mr Northey in any way for two years.
