OWNERS of a family-run holiday park near Kirkby Lonsdale have been successful in their bid for a year-round licence.

Twelve holiday homes at Hawkrigg Lune Valley Park, Old Town, can now be used by holidaymakers all year round after consent was given by South Lakeland District Council. The original planning permission stated the properties could not be used between January 15 and March 1.

Gareth Cowin made the bid to bring the holiday homes in line with nine lodges added to the park in later years, which have year-round licences.
