AN EXCITING, alternative and intimate theatre experience is blazing a trail to the Brewery.

The Right to Roam festival aims to showcase the sell-out successes of the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe festival with an eclectic mix of cutting edge comedy, music and theatre shows performed in unusual settings around the Kendal arts centre on April 29/30. Thought-provoking and fun, the festival features four unique shows, hand-picked to give a fresh Fringe vibe to Kendal courtesy of some of the UK’s most exciting, up-and-coming young theatre companies performing shows developed with the likes of The Lowry in Salford and London’s The Albany.

Featured as part of Right to Roam are Howl at the Moon by Tom Adam, on Friday, April 29 (7pm, Studio) - a comedy performance about the Apollo 11 mission to the moon focusing on Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin’s lesser-known companion Michael Collins as he takes a solitary trip to the 'dark side.'; Late Night Love by Eggs Collective (Friday, 9pm, Malt Room) - an all female comedy trio who present a spoof late night confessional radio show exploring the lives of lovebirds seeking romance on the airwaves; Rove by J Fergus Evans (Saturday, April 30, 6pm, Malt Room), where live music and poetry combine in an emotional performance about the true meaning of family told through the stories passed down the generations.

Last, but not least, O No! by Jamie Woods (Saturday, 8pm, theatre) - a hilarious and interactive comedy about love told through the eyes of the woman blamed for destroying The Beatles, Yoko Ono.

Brewery theatre programmer Mike Jones said they are delighted to bring Right to Roam back for its second year. He added: "We scoured last year’s Edinburgh Fringe for some of the boldest and most adventurous new shows which we are sure will challenge people’s traditional views of theatre and bring live performance to a whole new audience.”
