THE PLUNGE on Frankie Dettori's mount Authorize to win today's Epsom Derby is sure to drive the price down to odds-on, and it's a race to look for each-way value.
Of course, Peter Chapple-Hyam's horse is a great chance for Dettori to shine, but he looks a bit angular for me to cope with the ups and downs of Epsom, though big horses have won the classic. Irish wizard Aidan O'Brien has seven entries and over each one of them is a slight concern regarding trip, ground, level of form and ability to act on course and it is hard to see a champion in the pack.
Just imagine if we had had two weeks of sunshine instead of showers, Paul Cole's STRATEGIC PRINCE would be second favourite and not 20-1 on form.
A great run in the Guineas to be eighth on the "wrong" side and third to the best two two-year-olds last year in Teofilo and Holy Roman Emperor.

There should be no worries about staying the trip as he is stoutly-bred on the dam's side and at 18-1, he is worth an each-way bet to prove that a class horse can go on any ground.
Sir Michael Stoute does not have a major contender for the big one but unlucky REGAL FLUSH can take the 2pm race.
IRISH JIG ticks all the right boxes in the 2.30pm and FANTASY EXPLORER is back to his best trip after a warm-up last time and can take the 3.30pm.
