DOZENS of shih tzu dogs and their owners travelled from Scotland, Northern Ireland, Devon, Essex and Wales for a Lake District gathering at the weekend.
There were more than 150 people and 170 tzus at the event hosted by the Briery Wood Hotel, Windermere, which culminated in a get together on the Glebe, Bowness.

They were all part of a group called Oh Shih Tzu, which was started a year an a half ago by ladies in Cumbria and has grown from 10 members to over 3,500. Most of those attending had been in touch on the Facebook page “Oh Shih Tzu” but had mostly never met face to face.
The event raised money for rescue dogs to have veterinary treatment.
