SIX Ulverston youngsters have exercised their vocal chords to raise more than £3,000 for charity.
The group from Ulverston Victoria High School put on a sell-out show last month, with all proceeds going to Age UK South Lakeland.
The six pupils performed at the Coronation Hall in Ulverston on April 2, singing show tunes from a huge variety of different musicals.
The evening showcased the talents of Ben Lewis, Connor Wood, Florrie Dobson, Henry Chatfield, Oliver Banks and Becky Brown, all aged between 13 and 18.
All of the teenagers involved in the 'Puttin' On The Ritz' show have experience in performance, and the audience were treated to renditions of numbers from classics such as 'High Society' and 'Les Miserables', as well as the more contemporary 'Wicked'.
Becky Brown, the 18-year-old who helped to organise the event, was very pleased with how successful it was.
"It went brilliantly," she said. "We are aware of how much help Age UK does in the community and it's something that our parents or ourselves might have to use in the future."
Hugh Tomlinson from Age UK thanked them for their great show, which raised a grand total of £3,005.97.
"The young people worked so hard for this event," he said. "They are a credit to themselves and we wish them all the best for the future."
Charlotte Robinson, Volunteer Support Officer for Age UK South Lakeland, said "It’s great to see people in the younger community are recognising the challenges of old age and willing to get up and do something about it."
