A DOMESTIC appliance shop in Kendal is expanding.
The Domestic Appliance Centre is moving into the shop that is next door to its current premises on Kirkland.
The new shop will open on May 23 and only stock new appliances, giving customers an easier way to shop.
With the expansion will come new jobs, with one new member of staff having already been employed and the possibility of another position opening up in the future.
Although a lot of people are choosing to shop online nowadays, the company director, Jeanette Morrell, believes that it is the shop's commitment to their customers that has allowed them to be so successful.
"It's our customer service," Jeanette said. "We try really hard to make it as stress free for our customers as possible."
She also said that although appliances can be very complicated, she wants to ensure that customers have as simple an experience as possible.
"I would rather sell somebody something that is right for them," she said. "Rather than supply them with something that really would not be suitable."
