RISING temperatures could spark thunderstorm activity in Cumbria over the weekend.
The Met Office is forecasting that there is a 'high risk' of thunderstorms in Lancashire and a possibility that they could move north.
MORE TOP STORIES: In a general awareness message, the Environment Agency says there could be very localised heavy rain should a thunderstorm strike which could lead to predominately surface water flooding.
The message adds: "It is worth stressing that this is a low likelihood event for Cumbria and we do not anticipate any significant issues."
