A CUMBRIAN insurance broker affected by flooding has won a prestigious industry award.
Stephen Ward, has been recognised by Bluefin as Claims Individual of the Year.
Mr Ward, worked tirelessly for Bluefin, despite his Carlisle home being flooded in December.

"It was a massive upheaval in a personal way," he said. "But we had a job to do."
The 31-year-old father of three has worked for the insurance broker for six and a half years and said that he is really pleased to have been recognised.
"The customer's at the heart of everything that they do," Mr Ward said. "I'm absolutely chuffed. It's the highlight of my insurance career."
Bluefin have been working with many clients affected by the floods, with Mr Ward reporting that his partner has told him if he had not been so committed to others, they might already be back in their own house.
Stephen supported his clients through the whole process as well as helping the local community by providing free advice using social media and sitting on a local "Flooded Business Group" with local businesses, giving talks and advice.
