Gazette highly commended at national industry awards
THE Westmorland Gazette was highly commended at today's glitzy Regional Press Awards ceremony in London.
The Gazette was among six newspapers vying for the Weekly Newspaper (above 20,000 circulation) category at the ceremony, held at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel, Mayfair.
Judges praised the Gazette's coverage of the December floods but the award was won by the Kent Messenger.
The Camden New Journal was also highly commended.
