PEOPLE who took part in the second litter pick arranged by Carnforth's Labour Party branch in the town's Highfield Road area were delighted to find "much less litter " than six weeks ago.
Lancaster City Council supported Saturday's event by removing two dumped mattresses and supplying protective gear and rubbish bags.
Cllr John Reynolds, newly elected city councillor for Carnforth, said: "There is more fly tipping that must be cleared, and then we have to build the links with residents to involve more people in initiatives like this."
