A FORMER six bedroom vicarage on the edge of the Lake District National Park is due to be auctioned in Ulverston on Thursday, June 2, with a guide price of £565,000.
Beckside Grange at Kirkby-in-Furness, which was built in 1883, stands next to the village church and is being auctioned by Auction House Cumbria.
Auctioneer Colin West said: "This is an impressive property with stunning rooms and an established park like garden and equally fabulous views.
"Such properties don’t come up for sale very often and the quality of the building is hard to match.
"But if this property is beyond budget we have another unusual lot in the same auction, of a two bedroom bungalow within the National Park on the banks of Lake Coniston – an equally rare prospect.” Bids for this property will be starting at £85,000.
Thirteen properties in Carlisle which were badly flooded during the devastating storms over last December are also being sold.
Among the affected homes, four properties in Warwick Road are being auctioned, three in Grace Street, two in Tullie Street and one in Margery Street. Many of the properties in Warwick Road are Victorian and all have either three or four bedrooms with spacious reception rooms and off road parking for a car. Guide prices range from £70,000-£85,000.
The sales for Auction House Cumbria take place on Thursday June 2 at 12 noon at Carlisle Racecourse and at 6.30pm at the Coronation Hall, Ulverston.
