TWO men have been taken to hospital after a serious accident near Kendal this morning.
The two vehicles involved were a Suzuki GSX-R 600 motorcycle driven by a 38-year-old man from Windermere and an Audi A1 driven by a 52-year-old man from Windermere.
The crash happened at the junction of Windermere Road and Hollins Lane, Burneside, at 7.50am

The motorcyclist was airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital by the Great North Air Ambulance Service and the Audi driver was taken to Westmorland General Hospital. Both have serious injuries.
A GNAAS spokesperson said: "The 38-year-old male motorcyclist had suffered multiple serious injuries in the collision with the car.
"The GNAAS aircrew worked alongside North West Ambulance Service paramedics in assessing the patient, the GNAAS doctor then anaesthetised the patient before administering one unit of blood and one unit of plasma."
This is the first time plasma has been administered by the aircrew since the charity launched a three-month trial of the pioneering pre-hospital treatment.
Windermere Road was closed for a period this morning but has now reopened.
