ADVENTURERS Leo Houlding and Bruce Corrie are on their way home after reaching the edge of Greenland's ice cap by snowkite.
The pair are said to be 'on a high' after completing their 1,000-mile, wind-powered expedition across the snowy plains in 18 days.
World-famous climber Leo, 35, of Staveley, and snowkite pioneer Bruce, 51, of Kendal, are due to fly back to the UK on Friday (May 27).
Bruce's wife, Judith Irving, told the Gazette that Bruce had sounded 'elated' on the telephone.
