A team of walkers from a motoring company completed the Keswick to Barrow walk, contributing the the company target of raising £6000 for North West Air Ambulance this year.

If Cox Motor Group manages this, it will have raised a total of over £25,000 for the charity. The money is being raised through a number of sponsired events.

Many members of the team already knew what lay ahead with previous K2B walks under their belt (also in aid of the North West Air Ambulance), but the route this year had been extended.

It was to prove an even greater test, notably with the addition of shale and gravel. The weather, thankfully, was dry and not too warm which helped.

David Cox, Managing Director of Cox Motor Group, said: “The whole event leaves me feeling so humble and quite emotional, especially when you see so many normal people like me and you putting in so much effort and pushing themselves through the pain barrier for a charity that means so much to them, and of course to so many others. It's incredible really.”

The North West Air Ambulance is solely run with donations and volunteers, without which they wouldn’t be able to operate their life-saving service.
