KESWICK Mountain Rescue Team were called to the aid of a man who had tumbled down the rocky steps close to the summit of Cat Bells and suffered a head injury.
The 13-man team set off to Skelgill and met with a helicopter, which managed to land at the saddle just before the last ascent.

The air ambulance crew treated the casualty and stretchered him down to the helicopter and he was flown to Cumberland infirmary for treatment.
