A SUPPORTER of St John's Hospice, Lancaster, is holding a cheese and wine evening this Sunday, June 19, to raise money for the charity's trek along the Great Wall of China.

Sue Herne, a foster carer and emergency planning officer, lives in Suffolk but grew up in Grange in the 1970s, as Sue Inglis. She later attended Queen Elizabeth School, Kirkby Lonsdale, and worked at Barrow Borough Council and Kendal Leisure Centre.
