DEDICATED volunteers who give their time to help at Carnforth railway station's heritage centre and information point have been recognised.
Mayor of Lancaster Robert Redfern presented group certificates of achievement to the volunteers at an awards ceremony held by Lancaster District Community and Voluntary Solutions.
Among those honoured with an individual certificate was Barbara Wolfenden, who has been volunteer coordinator for the past eight years. Centre manager John Adams said that Barbara made a major contribution to popular exhibitions on the Art of Nostalgia, Life in the 40s, and the Life and Works of David Lean.
