A FAMILY of Emperor tamarin monkeys is the newest attraction at the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis, at Hale.
Native to South America, the grey-furred creatures have long white moustaches and are believed to be named for their resemblance to German emperor Wilhelm II.
Jo Marsden, who runs the animal park, said: "I’ve always loved monkeys and wanted to bring some to the Oasis. We’ve four girls and one boy and they share their enclosure with a couple of pheasants. This environment is perfect for them, they are nosy little creatures, and love watching everyone watching them."
