A KENDAL teenager was scouted and asked to attend an audition for ITV talent show The Voice.
Megan Forrest, 19, was noticed by talent scouts after she posted videos of her singing to her Facebook page.
At the request of the show, Megan went to an audition in Manchester, where she had to perform a song in front of a vocal coach, an ITV producer and a representative from a record label.
Megan said: "I was really surprised to be scouted. I had my audition on the Saturday and I only found out on the Monday before that I even had that. I am really pleased.
"At the moment I just sing for fun but if does go further that would be nice too."
Most auditionees are required to perform across two stages - stage A and stage B - however as Megan was scouted she was able to pass straight through to stage B.
The song she chose to sing at the audition was 'Make you Feel my Love' by Adele.
Megan, who works as an advertising administrator, will hear the result by August. If she has made it through this stage, another audition awaits in London.
