A TEENAGER was assaulted in Booths car park in Kirkby Lonsdale yesterday.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the 17-year-old, from Sedbergh, was grabbed by the throat twice by a man in a dispute over where he had parked his car.
The incident happened at 5pm, and the man is described as being in his 40s, with brown and grey hair, khaki trousers and a shirt or jacket on.
He was over 6' tall and spoke with a Yorkshire accent.
The victim was not injured.
