FLOOD meetings have been organised in Kendal and Burneside to inform residents about what action is planned to prevent another repeat of last December's devastating deluge.
At the meetings draft reports on the flood events of 2015 and proposals for future flood resilience will be presented by Cumbria County Council and the Environment Agency for discussion.
There will be a meeting at Kendal Town Hall on July 11 and at Sandylands Methodist Church on July 14. In between there will be a meeting at St Oswald's Primary School, Burneside, on July 12.
They will start at 6pm with information available about resilience grants and at 7pm the flood investigation report will be presented with time set aside for feedback and questions.
Afterwards there will be an opportunity for residents to have a one-to-one with officers.
Further information on flooding can be found on Cumbria County Council’s website http://www.cumbria.gov.uk/floods2015/ Dates for public meetings in other areas can be found at http://www.cumbria.gov.uk/floods2015/floodforums.asp
