I recently attended two musical theatre productions by local senior schools. Both performances were outstanding which brought standing ovations. They were contrasting, the first by Queen Katherine School of the Tommy Steele hit Half A Sixpence; the second set in the 1980s rock era, Rock Of Ages, by Kirkbie Kendal School.
The high standard of playing, dance, singing and acting was apparent with clear evidence of professional coaching. Congratulations to each and every performer who's concentration and ability gave pleasure.
I look forward to future productions knowing that musical theatre is safe in their hands.
