A NORTH Yorkshire scout has teamed up with a charity to benefit the community.
Tom Haigh, assistant cub scout leader at Ingleton, has chosen to work with the Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation to bring Scouting and a local charity together so that they can both benefit from working with each other.
He says it will help youth members gain community impact badges and create positive social change, while at the same time fundraising for a charity.
Tom was also part of the recent St George's Day parade at Windsor Castle after being awarded both the gold Duke of Edinburgh Award and the Queen's Scout Award.
