Silverdale First Responders are appealing for volunteers
SILVERDALE Community First Responders are appealing for more volunteers to help with their life-saving work.
The team is holding an open day in Silverdale this Saturday (July 23) to help spread the word along with the North West Ambulance Service.
Everybody is welcome at Gaskell Memorial Hall from 10am to 12.30pm when First Responders will be on hand to talk about how they attend serious 999 calls to give patients the earliest possible intervention before the ambulance arrives. At the open day there will also be a chance to explore an ambulance, try the CPR challenge and watch live demonstrations.
