Wow! Another first for Kendal. While shopping yesterday I saw three excellent short plays, all for free!

In one 'Ken Kent' proposed to the beautiful 'Mint Cake', was encouraged by 'Abbot Hall' and put in his place by the stunning 'Kendalia' (who wore an old grey coat but underneath was beautiful)!

All great fun. An amazing 57 original short plays, written and performed by talented local people, are being performed this week on Kendal streets, in coffee bars, library, the town hall and elsewhere.

Where else in this country could you see and enjoy so much?

We owe a debt to Kendal Community Theatre for the idea of 'Kendal Yarns' and all those writers, actors and backroom staff who has made this possible.

And all 57 plays will be performed on Saturday (July 30). A wonderful feat.

Congratulations and well done Kendal!
