THE North Lonsdale show welcomed crowds of guests after it was delayed in starting due to a collision on the A590.

There was major delays around the turn off to the show, at Urswick, following a crash between a lorry and a car around 8am.

Show chairman Stephen Benson said: "We apologise for the late start because of the issues on the road but there was nothing we could have done about it.

"It's cleared now and it looks like we are to get a good crowd. Poeple have come from all over."

The show has a history of over 150 years. This is the fourth year at its current home in Urswick.
