CHAINSAW carver Rolande, of Holme, has offered to create a sculpture from a tree stump at the top of Haws Hill, in Carnforth.
Carnforth Town Council agreed to seek approval for the project from Lancashire County Council. Rolande has her workshop at Holme Mills Industrial Estate.
Meanwhile, Carnforth Rotary Club has expressed an interest in planting crocuses on a triangle of land outside the town's Shovel Inn pub. A stone with a blue plaque donating the plot's being the historical centre of Carnforth has also been proposed.
