ONE Kendal hairdresser is trying to take the fuss out of back to school with a pop-up salon.

Daniel Gray, which has a permanent base on Stramongate, will be offering affordable haircuts for under 15's who are heading back to school in September.

Tash Julian, a salon co-ordinator for Daniel Gray and mother of two, said that it was the perfect idea for parents who were in a rush.

"It's dry cuts only because there isn't a basin but we can achieve just as good a cut," she said. "We find that a lot of parents are last minute when it comes to back to school haircuts so we just thought it would be a really good idea.

"It just gets manic before school starts again because you do not realise how much there is to do!"

The £10 haircuts will be available at the 28C Finkle Street pop-up store on Friday (August 26) and Saturday (August 27).
