Three rounds remain in The South Westmorland Senior Bowling League, as the season draws ever closer to its conclusion.

In Division One, Netherfield A moved one step closer to the league title after they picked up a dominant 6-2 win at Holme A.

Netherfield, who are now 13points clear at the top with just three games left, were given the added boost when nearest rivals Warton A suffered a shock 5-3 reversal at Lindale A.

Victory for Netherfield next Monday would see them crowned champions for the 2016 campaign.

In the other games Netherfield B and Kirkby Lonsdale A both collected 6-2 wins with victories over Burneside A and Springfield A respectively.

Meanwhile Bolton-le-Sands and Sillverdale A both picked up 5-3 wins with results over Lower Holker A and Levens A.

Windermere A moved further clear at the top of Division Two after a comprehensive 6-2 win at Heversham A. Bowness A defeated Arnside A 7-1, while there were also wins for Milnthorpe A, Carnforth A and Endmoor A.

It’s all to play for in Division Three as Lower Holker B, Victoria and Abbot Hall A continued their battle for the title.

Lower Holker remain two points clear at the top after they defeated Burneside B 5-3. Victoria, who are second in the table, defeated Sedbergh 6-2, while Abbot Hall A battled to a 5-3 win over Carnforth B.

In the other game Springfield B edged past Lindale B 5-3.

Holme B won the battle of top two in Division Four after they defeated Levens B 5-3. There were also results for Langdale, Endmoor B, Crosthwaite B and Hawkshead.

In Division Five Netherfield C defeated Heversham B 7-1 in the sunshine at Parkside Road. Burton-in-Lonsdale edged out Arnside B 5-3, Milnthorpe B eased past Sedbergh A 7-1, Staveley B defeated Bowness B 6-2, and Windermere B whitewashed Ingleborough B 8-0.
