A MAN was airlifted to hospital after falling from his motorbike near Alston.
The 68-year-old suffered serious chest injuries.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to the incident at 3.30pm yesterday (August 30), and the doctor-led trauma team assessed and treated him before he was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
The flight took 10 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
