A ROTARIAN who spearheaded a campaign to raise £20,000 for Cumbria Flood Relief has received a prestigious award.
Ambleside Kirkstone Rotary Club's Alan Katz was presented with the Paul Harris Foundation award by District Governor Arthur Jones at the President's Lunch held at the Rothay Manor.
Mr Katz organised collections in Ambleside, Bowness and Windermere and also took part in a fund raising one-man pub crawl. This was in addition to the collection to raise funds to buy tents for families who had lost their homes in last year's Nepal earthquake disaster, and other charitable work over many years both within Rotary and other groups.
