POLICE are appealing for information following a collision on the A590 yesterday (September 2).

The accident occurred on the A590 near Levens and involved a motorbike and a car.

The red Triumph motorbike was being ridden by a 41-year-old man from Bristol and the red Citroen Picasso was being driven by a 78-year-old woman from Grange-Over-Sands.

The man was treated at the scene and then flown to Preston Royal Hospital, where he is in a critical but stable condition.

The driver of the car was also taken to Preston Royal Hospice but her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The passenger in the car was an 85-year-old woman, also from Grange-Over-Sands - she was checked over at the scene by medics but was uninjured.
