PLANS to mark the end of World War One are already being made in Carnforth.
Remembrance Day 2018 - November 11 - is to fall on a Sunday and will mark 100 years since the end of the Great War, Cllr Bob Roe told Carnforth Town Council.
He suggested that the special day could be marked with a band and a re-enactment of the unveiling of the town's war memorial. An exhibition could also be staged.
Councillors heard that £500 could be set aside next year and £1000 in 2018 to pay for the commemoration, and that other local groups should be invited to take part.
