MOUNTAIN rescue teams were involved in a 24-hour search for a grouse beater who had got lost in mist in the Helbeck Fell area near Warcop.

Members of the shoot searched for the 40-year-old man when he went missing on Monday but were forced to call for help after becoming increasingly concerned when they could not find him.

Ten mountain rescue teams, seven search dogs and a Coastguard helicopter were involved in the search and he was eventually found at 2.15pm on Tuesday.
