A CHARITY golf day raised more than £14,500 for a Lancashire hospice.
More than 120 players took to the Windermere course in aid of St John's Hospice.
The event has become renowned for its ‘quirky style’, with an ice cream van on the fairways and afternoon tea and cocktails served at the halfway house by St Johns’ volunteers.
The combined efforts of the raffle and auction contributed towards the sum raised, with prizes donated by Emirates, who gave two airline tickets to Dubai.
"Once again, we have received incredible support for this event and are delighted that the local community have come together to raise such a magnificent sum for the hospice,” said community fundraiser, Jill Santamera. “We try and make the event unique each year and the most important factor is having fun!"
