JAZZ will be on the menu in Hornby once again, marking the eighth annual visit of a favourite performer.
Sue Parish will play at the Jazz in Hornby event at The Village Institute on November 4, accompanied by a band of accomplished musicians.
These musicians are the all star trio of Paul Kilvington on piano, Frank Grime playing double bass and Hugh Lawrence on the drums.
Organiser Sam Ashton said: "Of course I`m not privy to her set list but we can be sure that she and the band will be swinging at all tempi, and she`ll spring us some exciting surprises."
Sue Parish is an experienced freelance vocalist, musician and bandleader, based in the north west of England.
Her extensive repertoire includes hundreds of popular jazz standards, bossa nova and swing classics as well as vintage and current chart songs.
Sue has played venues across the northwest and beyond, including countless jazz clubs, festivals and restaurants.
Of her performance career, Sue said: "I live for live performance, including taking musical risks and seeing what happens. There are very few recordings of me, because I love the immediacy and intensity of being in front of an audience."
