A NINE-year-old boy has been missing from Preston since yesterday afternoon. 

Maklaine Bottomley was last seen at 3.15pm on October 20 at Webster Street in Ashton-on-Ribble.

He was thought to have been going back to Sacred Heart Primary School to pick up his lunchbox but did not return home.

Maklaine is described as white, slim build with mousey brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a red jumper with a white polo shirt underneath, a navy blue parka style coat, black trousers and black trainers.

Officers are getting increasingly concerned about his welfare and are appealing to anyone who has seen him to contact them.

Insp Azz Khan of Preston Police said: “We are becoming ever more concerned about Maklaine as he is just nine years old and has been missing from home for nearly 24 hours now. We are worried about his welfare and if anyone has seen him or knows where he might be we would urge them to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
