A MULTI-AWARD winning vocal group are looking to repeat previous successes and sell out their second UK tour.

The Sons of Pitches, who won Gareth Malone's BBC 2 series 'The Naked Choir' are to embark on a tour of theatres across the country, including a stop-off at the Brewery in Kendal.

This follows the warm reception of their first tour, which saw over 25,000 tickets shifted. Many of the theatres on this tour are already close to selling out.

The new tour will see the group perform songs featured on the hit BBC2 TV show along with never before seen material as the group continue to wow audiences with their impeccable harmonies and unique a cappella improvisation.

The vocal group combines soaring solos, luscious harmonies and beatboxing to as seen in their new smash-hit video for “A History of British & Irish Boybands”.

It has attracted over two and a half million views on YouTube and sees the group establishing a growing international reputation.

Since 2013, The Sons of Pitches have entertained audiences with a combination of inventive pop covers, original numbers and improvised songs.

They are originally from Birmingham and based out of the University there, The Sons of Pitches were formed in 2010 by group member Mark Nathan.

They took part in the Naked Choir last year.

Recent highlights include tours across the UK, USA and Asia with performances at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella final in New York, the Hong Kong International A Cappella Festival and a sell-out debut run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Alongside concert performances, The Sons of Pitches deliver vocal workshops. Current projects include the group collaborating with the Royal Opera House Learning and Participation department in a bold education initiative to inspire confidence in school pupils from primary to secondary level.

The will play at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal on November 3.
