A LEGEND of ska music will be taking his solo show to Morecambe the winter, touring in support of a double album released this year.
Neville Staple, who also goes by The Original Rudeboy, is best known for his involvement in The Specials and as part of the influential 2 Tone movement.
Earlier this year, Neville released 'Return Of Judge Roughneck (and Dub Specials)'.
To complement this release, Neville, his band and his wife Christine “Sugary” Staple, will be touring the UK until the end of 2016. Christine, will be doing a short set of songs from her new EP 'Rude Girl Sounds' which was produced by Neville and he also provides backing vocals.
His latest album with his band ‘Ska Crazy’ was released in May 2014, ahead of an extensive tour, which includes new material and some old ska classic covers.
Neville Staple’s thirty-five year career in the music business is well documented, from the early days with The Coventry Automatics, The Specials & FunBoy3 in the late ‘70s and ‘80s, to The Special Beat and various other collaborations and solo projects.
He will play The Platform in Morecambe on December 2.
