A MAN was arrested in a Cumbrian village on suspicion of making threats to kill in an incident which prompted an armed police response.
Cumbria Police attended a property at Lindale, near Grange-over-Sands, just before 1pm on Wednesday, December 7, amid reports of a man acting aggressively and making claims he was in possession of a firearm.

Police say armed officers were deployed as a precaution and a 50-year-old man was arrested.
A search was undertaken and no firearm matching the description was located and it is not believed that there was any danger to members of the public.
