'Lost' Ribble Way walker rescued by members of Clapham team
A WALKER reported himself lost after getting caught out in low cloud near Cam Pasture, Horton-in-Ribblesdale on Saturday.
The 31-year-old had set off from Horton at 12.40pm to walk the northern end of the Ribble Way before calling emergency services at just after 5pm.
He was assisted by volunteers from the Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation who got him safety back to Horton.
A CRO spokesman said: "A CRO Land Rover was able to drive to within easy walking distance of him, despite the complexity of recent timber extraction routes in Cam Woodlands. Cold, but otherwise unharmed, he was returned to Horton."
