RICHARD Bagot, of Levens Hall, is seeking planning consent for a new cafe in the grounds of the Grade I-listed Elizabethan house.
South Lakeland District Council planners gave the go-ahead for a new cafe last year but the project was abandoned after the proposed site flooded in December 2015.
A new, more flood-resilient location has been chosen within the enclosed 17th Century Garden west of the hall, which is separate from the famous topiaries.
