Roadworks starting on A592
RESURFACING of part of the A685 Kendal to Grayrigg road by Cumbria County Council contractors is expected to start on Monday.
Motorists are being warned that the works will be carried out at night, from 7.30pm to approximately 3am, in a bid to minimise disruption to residents and businesses, and should be completed by Tuesday January 31, subject to weather conditions.
The road will be temporarily closed to traffic during this night-time period to allow the works to be safely carried out. The closure will extend from just east of Queen Katherine Avenue (Morrisons junction) to the Stocks Farm / Paddy Lane area.
A signed local diversion will be in place and access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained.
